Chasing Ansel Adams

Black and white photography and nature have always been a mystery to me. The beauty of the whole spectrum of colors has always caught my eye, and I've had a difficult time wanting to see photos of nature stripped down to the monochrome simpleness of black and white.

But I was down for a challenge and wanted to see what black and white edits did to nature.

Textures. Details. Contrast. Mood. It's like my photos had another story to tell. A less colorful emotion, that tells of the loneliness of the wild.

Here's my first attempt at mixing the two.
