About a hour and a half outside of Nashville is what used to be one of the best hikes in the nation. A 13 mile hike that lead from Tracy City and ends at Foster Falls. Unfortunately, we didn't make it there early enough to do the whole thing, so we just did a couple miles and turned back. It didn't help that we got distracted by what looked to be an abandoned barn and baseball field.
It was a short, but beautiful day that made us feel like we weren't even in Tennessee anymore. The leaves were still green and the creek was a deep blue. Rock formations like none I've seen in Tennessee.
This is a definite must do in Tennessee and I will be back to do the whole thing soon. Parts of the hike might be under construction and being rerouted, but parts of it are still worth checking out.
